Scholarships - 2024-2025 Application
(Please Note: this year's awards have already been determined. We encourage you to apply for the next award cycle).
The Women’s Fund of El Paso aims to directly impact the educational and leadership advancement of women in El Paso through the availability of scholarship funds.
The funds will provide a supplemental scholarship of up to $2,500 to low- and moderate-income single mothers and other women who qualify so they may access higher education at a local educational institution or leadership training for career advancement. The Women’s Fund of El Paso also provides scholarships to women who qualify for assistance for childcare or adult care of the applicant’s request. All funds will be paid directly to the service provider in the name of the award recipient. Requests for tuition, books, and fees are welcomed.
Scholarship Awards
Priority: Awards for direct educational expenses (tuition, books, and fees), are paid directly to the educational institution or leadership seminar or conference provider.
Next Priority: Awards that assist in reducing indirect financial barriers to education (for dependent care) will be paid directly to the agency or service provider on behalf of the recipient.

Deadlines
Scholarship deadline for the 2024-2025 academic year is July 7, 2024. The Women’s Fund of El Paso will consider scholarship applications each year, so you may submit an application accordingly. When applying, please keep in mind that the Women’s Fund of El Paso meets once a year to review and process applications.

- Applicant information including full name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
- Is the application a renewal request, if so provide a brief description of how the previous scholarship helped you succeed.
- Employment information (if applicable)
- Education completed
- Current institutional information, including address, phone number, student ID, major, classification and GPA.
- T-shirt size
- Description of how funds will be utilized and the date the amount is request by.
- Document upload
- Most recent transcript (unofficial acceptable)
- A copy of the most recent financial aid award letter
- Proof of enrollment - if not on transcript provide official enrollment confirmation from university/school.
- Essay answering the following questions:
- What challenges do you face today and what personal strengths will help you succeed?
- How will this scholarship help you achieve your educational goals?
- Once you achieve your education goal, how do you plan to give back to El Paso?
Women interested in applying for a scholarship from the Women’s Fund of El Paso must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- A woman living in the El Paso County
- Must have post high school credit hours
- Attending a university/college/technical school within El Paso County pursuing one of the following:
- Job training
- Technical or vocational certification
- Associate's or bachelor's degree
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Renewals must reapply in order to be considered
